Indie Pop Rock Gems

For the past few weeks, I’ve been using the Indie Pop/Indie Rock room at Turntable.fm as my customized online radio station which never ceases to surprise me with new music that I’ve yet to hear. Sure, some of it isn’t always my taste, and there are a few songs that seem to get played at least ten times a day (see: Pumped Up Kicks and Home). But for the most part, it’s a fantastic way to get exposed to new music while I work, as well as share some music other may not have heard when I have the occasional break here and there.

So, to celebrate all the DJs in this room who’ve shared their music with me, I’m in turn sharing it with the readership of the blog. It may not be what I always listen to, and it’s certainly not what I’m accustomed to posting. But it’s the summertime. And happy songs are good for when the sun is shining and the windows are rolled down. So grab some lemonade, kick off those flip flops, and crank up these indie pop/rock gems. Continue reading
